Services for Students in Hope

Books, journals, DVDs, and other library items are available to borrow from the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campus libraries. Items will be delivered to the Hope Centre for pickup.

Be sure to review general information and policies on renewals, returning items, holds and transfers, overdue items, and paying fines. You must pay all outstanding library fines at the beginning of each semester in order to renew your library privileges.

• Search the library catalogue for items and then place a hold by using the forms on the webpage for distance students. Under pickup location, choose "Hope Centre." Items will be sent to the Hope Centre office for pick up based on the campus courier schedule.
• We will let you know by email to your UFV student email account when your items are ready to be picked up.
• Return your items to the Hope Centre office, or return them at the Chilliwack and Abbotsford campus libraries if it is convenient.

Library PIN

You will need your Library PIN to place a hold or renew items using your Library Account. If you do not know your Library PIN, get it here.

We can help you by phone, e-mail, or through the AskAway chat reference service. Online help resources are also available.

UFV provides access to many online resources. Use your myUFV login to access online journals, databases, e-books, and videos.

• To find articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers, use the Find It search on the library's web site, or search one of our many (100+) research databases.
• We have e-books that cover a wide variety of subjects and come from a range of publishers. Use the library catalogue to search for titles on your topic.
• Looking for video content? Check out our streaming video collections.
• Need to find out if we carry a specific online journal? Want to browse journals related to a particular area of study? Search or browse our Journals List.

Use interlibrary loan services to order a book or article that is not available from the UFV library.

Articles will be delivered by email.

You may choose to have books and DVDs help for you in Abbotsford or Chilliwack, or to have materials sent to the Hope Centre for pickup.
