Group Study Rooms

Bookable group study rooms are available to students in the Abbotsford and Chilliwack libraries.

Abbotsford Library

The Abbotsford Library has 8 bookable group study rooms.

Chilliwack Library

The Chilliwack Library has 4 bookable group study rooms.

Rooms may only be booked and used by UFV students who are currently taking classes.
The student who made the booking must be in the group study room participating with the group.
Rooms may not be booked for instruction, tutoring, exams, meetings, or other similar uses.
Groups are limited to one booking per day. Rooms are booked in 30 minute blocks, up to a maximum of 2 hours at a time. Consecutive reservations by groups are not permitted.
Bookings are required in order to use a room and are booked online.
Booking descriptions must be respectful, or your booking will be cancelled.
Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Study room reservations can start on the hour or on the half hour.
Students may reserve a group study room up to 7 days in advance.
If a group does not show up for its booking within 10 minutes of the start time, the room may be assigned to another group. Please ask for assistance at the Service Desk.
There are a limited number of group study rooms; therefore, individuals (rather than groups) occupying rooms will be asked to relocate elsewhere in the library.
Library staff monitor bookings, and we reserve the right to cancel bookings that do not comply with our policies.

If you do not intend to use a room, please cancel your booking.

Only the student who made the study room reservation can cancel it prior to the reservation start time.
Once the reservation start time has passed, only library staff can cancel a reservation. Please ask for assistance at the Service Desk.

Please respect the other occupants of the library and keep noise levels reasonable. See the library's policies on Noise in the Library and Conduct in the Library.
Covered beverage containers are permitted. Eating is not allowed in any part of the library, including in the group study rooms. Please see the library's policy on Food and Drink in the Library for details.
Students should leave the room in good order, including erasing the white boards (markers and erasers are available for checkout from the Service Desk). Personal items left behind will be sent to Lost and Found (Campus Security Abbotsford B120 and Chilliwack A1115).
Library materials will be cleared and reshelved on a daily basis.
