Placing Student-authored Works on Reserve

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Because of COVID-19, the UFV Libraries are closed indefinitely and our print Course Reserves service is unavailable. However, we will still accept student-authored works in digital formats.

For other library service updates related to COVID-19, please see the UFV Library Blog.

1

Obtain written authorization from student(s)

This authorization should include the following information (here's a sample):

  • the student's name (or names, if a group project);
  • title of work;
  • course number and semester;
  • length of time for which the authorization is valid; and
  • dated signature(s) of the author(s).

You don't need to submit this authorization to the library, but you should keep it on file, in case questions arise.

2

Complete the course reserves worksheet

Download the form and fill it in with the requested information.

Copies of the worksheet are also available at Faculty Reception and from the library.

3

Deliver completed, signed worksheet and materials to the library

Physical materials will be housed in either the Abbotsford or Chilliwack library; deliver materials to the library where you would like the materials available for your students.

  • The library makes every effort to safeguard reserve materials; however, we cannot accept responsibility for lost and/or damaged personal material.

Please allow one week for processing.
